Texas summers are punishing — not just for you, but for your vehicle. Heat accelerates wear on nearly every system, and the most common breakdowns we see in July and August are almost all preventable.
Start with your cooling system: old, degraded coolant is the number-one cause of overheating, so have it tested and flushed on schedule. Check your battery — heat, not cold, is what actually kills most batteries, and a load test takes minutes. Make sure your A/C is charged and cooling properly before you truly need it. Inspect your tires for proper pressure and tread, since hot pavement plus underinflation is a recipe for a blowout. And don't forget your wiper blades and washer fluid for those sudden summer storms.
